b'THE ELLESMERIAN Other newsOur Wingfield Court is up and running. This is a state-of-the-art performance and player monitoring system which delivers statistics to181the players ranging from speed of serve to consistency and accuracy of shots in training and match play. Many of our students have taken part in other events such as the Winter and Summer Expedition Camps, the Shrewsbury Club 100k Tournament careers day and family fun day. They also have opportunities to join the (very) social tennis evenings, often mixing in with staff and parents. Our community programme continues to flourish, reaching out to local Primary Schools and welcoming local clubs needing a roof over their heads in the winter months. Those who receive individual private coaching have reported how much they enjoy the sessions. Thanks go to our team of coaches, Jamie, Eifion, and Kyle who have continued to deliver a first-class performance programme at Ellesmere. GoodbyesWe say goodbye to Boys Captain Owen Critchell, who has helped establish a high standard of play in the training squads and produced many winning performances at number 1 for the College. We also say farewell to Aditi Chezhian, Girls Captain, after 9 years of brilliant commitment to tennis at Ellesmere. Her influence over the years has undoubtedly been one of the main factors behind the successes the College is enjoying today. We wish them both well as they venture into the wider world. Next years Captains will be Bennet Schumann and Tamzin Pountney.SW'
