b'THE ELLESMERIAN 66The ArtsSeptember 2021 started off with a little trepidation as we started to introduce some sense of normality with rehearsals and workshops taking place for plays, choir, dance, drama, and Art. Whilst these were happening in year group bubbles it did allow students to start to engage with one another in a creative sense in person, which students and staff thoroughly enjoyed once again. It was noticeable that Ellesmere were a leading force in continuing with creativity throughout the pandemic, adapting ways of working that met with guidelines for safe practice and allowing students to flourish and make progress. Our students continued to learn and the importance of the Arts became far more apparent as we turned to different forms of media, social media, and methods of communication to interact and stimulate the mind at a time when visits to concerts, exhibitions, and live performance became limited.'
