However, we just ran out of time.A great team effortwinning the ball in defence but, unfortunately, we just could not in very difficult conditions.break down their defence.It was end to end, nail biting stuff and the players gave it their all.It became very much goal for goal and Wednesday 2ndMarch was a rather disappointing afternoonwith time running out we had to agree the draw was the fairest having to face our difficult opponents, Wrekin College, with aresult. much-depleted team.Fortunately, we were able to call upon some younger players to help fortify the squad and they played theirSaturday 26thMarchs fixtures against Newcastle-under-Lyme part with aplomb.The Ellesmere team worked non-stop until theSchool and Wolverhampton Grammar School were a great way to final whistle but could do very little against an all-round stronger,end the season, playing both of these well-drilled teams.A fiercely fitter, and more skilful team.Despite the score line, the squadcompetitive game against NULS, with end to end play.Both teams showed complete commitment and their work rate could not beshowed huge talent for their age groups.They quickly turned over questioned.possession and delivered the ball up through the court with great speed and efficiency.Unfortunately, on the day NULSs shooters Unfortunately, we again did not have our full squad which meanthad better statistics than us and our missed attempts on goal cost that we had our work cut out against a strong Oswestry team onus the victory. Saturday 5thMarch.A slow start to every quarter meant we had to use all our determination and passion to keep pulling ourselvesCSD and TCback in the game.Despite making good use of attacking space to feed a well-defended shooting circle, we failed to capitalise on this.We went into the final quarter leading but unfortunately a few errors forced the game back level and made the final five minutes very tense.We could have potentially just got the win with the last shot of the match but overall a draw was a fair result.'
