b'THE ELLESMERIAN 53The summer term meant that we had to say farewell to our senior NCOs and leavers. They were presented with their commemorative medallions and their Colours. The Blake Hartley Trophy for Best Cadet was rightly shared across the three services and was awarded to Cdt Flt Sgt Kit Lewers (RAF), A3* Cdt Christopher Davis (Navy), and Cdt Sgt Will Selby (Army). Our thanks and very best wishes go to all of our departing senior cadets. I am sure they would agree that their experiences as cadets has helped to make them the outstanding young people they have become.Finally, my thanks to all of my colleagues who continue to put so much into ensuring that the cadet experience is such a positive one for our senior cadets made use of the fantastic opportunities that CCATEllesmerians. courses offer, attending kayaking, mountain-biking, and climbing courses. The fact that these can also meet the requirements of theLt Col M P Clewlow, Contingent CommanderDuke of Edinburghs Gold Award Residential section is even more reason to take advantage of them.We were pleased to welcome back Col Richard Jones OE who conducted our Biennial Review in May. He had a great day and really enjoyed meeting the cadets. The opportunity brought back many memories for Richardhopefully mainly happy onesand I thank him for taking the time to come and see us.'
