b'THE ELLESMERIAN 133CricketBoys U14It was good to see that a number of U14 boys players including Thomas and Adam Jacques and Jonathan Evans were able to gain valuable experience of being challenged at a higher level, not only playing in the U15s but also for the U17s and the 1st XI. Not only that but they often provided valuable contributions for those teams. Hugh Cornwell ably captained the U14 Boys Team team with valuable contributions from other County players including Ewan Skillicorn and Harry Underhill. As a result, the more experienced players were able to support the inexperienced players in their own developing squad with competitive games against Shrewsbury School, Newport Haberdashers, and the Kings School. The team beat Newport in the first round of the National Cup before losing to a very strong Shrewsbury School side.GO'
