Religious Studies
Religious Studies lessons at Ellesmere are age appropriate
and planned specifically to take into account a variety of considerations such
as cognitive development, social experiences, learning preferences and common
interests. Our time with the students allows us to consider a range of beliefs
and values and to promote tolerance and build HPL competencies. Lessons are
varied, encourage creativity and utilise a range of interactive resources.
Across the different year groups pupils encounter stories, symbols, key figures
and thinkers, important texts, moral dilemmas and the biggest questions of the
universe.
Key Stage 2
Pupils explore the life
of Jesus and the great Old Testament stories.
Year 7
Ancient religions, Christianity, Hinduism and Sikhism
Year 8
