Three U19 Ellesmere College Tennis Teams Qualify for National Schools Final

Having won their qualifying Local and Regional Competitions, three Under 19 Doubles' Teams from Ellesmere College Tennis Academy will travel to Bolton Indoor Tennis Arena in the near future to compete in the National Finals of the Annual UK Senior Students Mixed Competition run by the Lawn Tennis Association.

The Ellesmere College U19 Girls' Team, Olivia Dingwall Fordyce, Luana Nanu, Yasmin Rahbari and Carolin Spink will be participating in the National Finals alongside the School's U19 Boys' Team, Toby Blake, Nick Fueller, James Joule and Scott Wagner. Four members of these teams also play for the School's U19 Mixed Doubles Team. They are Luana Nuna, Carolin Spink, James Joule and Scott Wagner.

With eight teams from around the country participating in each of the finals, the Mixed Doubles' Team are hoping to beat their success last year when the Ellesmere team came 3rd in the country.

Nikki Hoy, Director of the Ellesmere College Tennis Academy commented, 'I am delighted at the progress all three teams have made over the last few months and achieving an impressive hat-trick of results recently. They are working and supporting as a team and I look forward to accompanying them to the National Finals.'
