Talented Music Student Receives Scholarship

Sixth Form student Stuart Green was presented with his music scholarship at Ellesmere, following an awards luncheon at the school. The scholarship was created by the Walker family as a 'thank you' to the School for the education of their own two children Rachel and Edward.

Stuart, 16, who plays the piano and organ, was presented with the award by Tom and Margaret Walker. He is the seventh student to be provided with a scholarship from an Old Ellesmerian or past parent.

Stuart from Oswestry said "I would really like to thank Mr and Mrs Walker for this kind award. I am now looking forward to my time at the school and becoming part of the Ellesmere community. This award has provided me with a chance to further my ambitions and my education, possibly reading math's or physics at one of the Russell Group universities".

If you would like to discuss creating a scholarship at Ellesmere College please e-mail Nick Pettingale nick.pettingale@ellesmere.com for an informal chat.
