Summer Holiday Fun at Ellesmere

This summer Ellesmere College have put together a variety of activities to keep children entertained throughout the summer holidays. Following on from the success of their first year of activities Ellesmere is offering a 5 week fun filled programme.

The summer courses start with 2 weeks of Multi-Activities from Monday 27th July; this is an ideal for blend for most children with a mixture of arts, drama, sports, swimming and much more. The programme is headed by Sports Centre Manager, Chris Rogers, who has over 5 years of experience running courses in this country and America. Chris says 'Multi-Activities is a great way to spend your summer. We have lots of fun, with children taking part in a variety of activities. It has developed greatly since last year and we are trying to offer more and more to help parents this summer.'

Later in the summer there is a weeklong Multi-Activities Extravaganza which will have a lot more activities for the children to enjoy with a dance workshop, arts afternoon and Olympic competitions planned. 'Our week long course is great for children to build new friendships and we are offering some new activities in this year's week.'

Ellesmere's Tennis Camp is being run from Monday 10th to Friday 14th August; the camp offers children a week of outstanding tennis coaching with Nikki Hoy the Schools Tennis Academy Director. The players take part in skills and drills to develop their tennis game as well as swimming and other games.

This year Ellesmere is working with Shropshire Rugby Development to offer a week long Rugby Development Camp from Monday 24th to Friday 28th August.  It is an excellent camp to prepare players for the upcoming Rugby season; players will take part in a variety of games and drills receiving excellent tuition. Former student and profession Rugby player Sam Lewis will be visiting the camp from Worcester RU.

Chris and his team of leaders have a large variety of experience which enables them to offer a fun and safe environment for the children this summer. All activities take place in the Schools excellent sports facilities. If you have any questions please do not hesitate in contacting Chris.
