Students get into the festive spirit with their Christmas production of Snow White

Ellesmere students chose a colourful comedy pantomime, Snow White, for their Christmas production this year. A cast of 20 students from Years 11, 12 and 13 played to packed houses at the school before taking their performance out on the road.

Students performed at the Town Hall in Ellesmere for Age UK before entertaining the children at Moreton First, Preparatory School. The cast are all part of the Ellesmere College Arts Award which supports young people who wish to strengthen their engagement with the arts as well as build creative and leadership skills.

Pippa Bell, Director of Drama said "The students and the teachers have worked together to make this a thoroughly enjoyable experience. It is wonderful to see real talent emerging in acting, dancing and singing. We are very proud of all of the students. The school has recently been recognised as a 'Hub School of Creativity' by Arts Connect West Midlands. This provides a timely opportunity for Ellesmere to identify ourselves as high profile advocates of the arts and culture in the lives children and young people"
