Show Jumping Riders Qualify for National Event

Recently, a group of pupils travelled to South View, near Winsford, Cheshire to the National Schools Equestrian Association Qualifier to participate in a show jumping event.

Participating in four competitions, Year 11 students, Eleanor Biggs and Clara Edwards, alongside Year 9 pupil Molly Broster and Year 6 pupil Huw Edwards represented Ellesmere College against 15 other schools.

As a team they were successful in two of the competitions, Jumping with Style and Show Jumping, with Molly winning an individual award for both. Following the teams success, they will be taking part in the national event to be held at Addington Manor Equestrian Centre, Buckinghamshire in December.

Susan Bogue, Mathematics Teacher and Coordinator of the Schools riding team commented, Each individual member of the team is very enthusiastic about their riding and we wish them well at the forthcoming national event.
