RECENT 1ST XV REPORTS

1st XV V Stafford Wed 3rd October

Ellesmere 52 Stafford 10

Ellesmere full strength team began the game against Stafford who initially put up stiff resistance before we began to move through the gears. Some strong running from James King led to an early score and then some good passing moves began to stretch the cover defence. After 25 minutes we were 40 points clear and able to bring on some substitutes giving an opportunity for the following boys to wear a 1st XV shirt:

A Higgins, J Cartwright, A Deller, J Beil and A Wacker.

The second half was a much closer affair and enjoyed by both sides, with Ellesmere getting a satisfactory victory.

1st XV v Rydal Saturday 6th October
