Along with over 600,000 other pupils from around the country, a group of Year 12 Ellesmere College students recently participated in the national Senior Mathematics Challenge.
The group of top performing Ellesmere College pupils have now received their results. Whilst 7 students achieved Bronze awards, 3 students, Minh Doan, Junje Liang and Ke Zhang gained Silver awards . The Bronze awardees were Chris Cieslik, Moritz Klein, Deren Kong, Joe Lin, James Morrison, Mike Pan and Chushu Ye,
All the students were recently presented their awards by the Headmaster, Brendan Wignall, in the Senior School assembly.
John Cowley, Head of Mathematics commented, It is always good to see our pupils performing well in the Mathematics Challenge. There is no special preparation for it and so it is a real test of their mathematical ability.
