During the Easter holidays Year 9 Ellesmere College pupil, Fraser Murdoch participated in the Scotland U15 Squad Training Camp that was held at the Sport Scotland National Centre in Largs.
Fraser who lives just inside the Welsh border in Rossett but was born in Scotland, joined Ellesmere College in 2007. Besides playing football at Ellesmere College, the 14 year old has attended the Crewe Alexandra Football Club since the age of 7. He was signed up in December 2003 as an Under 9 player and recently was signed again for a further 2 years until U16 level.
In addition to his football prowess, Fraser is a talented cricketer who has also been selected every year since the age of 10 to play for North East Wales teams. In the past two seasons he has played at U12 and U13 level and this season was selected to play for the Wales U14 team. Fraser, who already plays in the Ellesmere College 1st XI cricket team, and is a member of the Gresford Cricket Club, plays at both U15 level and for the Clubs Senior Seconds team.
