The School's Operations Department was delighted to be able to support the recent renovation of the local meres noticeboard.
At an Ellesmere Tourism and Marketing Forum earlier in the year, the Headmaster, Brendan Wignall, offered for the Schools Operations Department to support the renovation of the old mature oak notice-board that had fallen to the ground and needed some attention before it was re-instated. The Schools maintenance team was then asked to give the notice-board a much-needed refurbishment.
Adrian Bird, the Mere Countrypark Manager, based at the Meres Visitor Centre commented, for many years the board has given visitors, young and old, the opportunity to learn more about the Mere and surrounding area. When it was in urgent need of repair, we were delighted that the School was able to step in and ensure that the board could be used again.
