Following last summers hugely successful Parents Society Ladies Lunch, when guests were entertained by an after-lunch speech made by former pupil, Andrew Collinge, yesterday members of the Executive Committee of Ellesmere College Parents Society travelled to Liverpool to meet him again and present a cheque for 1,500 to the charity he supports.

Sue Dewhirst, the current Chairperson of the Parents Society invited fellow members, Michelle Potts, Secretary, and Carole Main to join her for the trip to Liverpool and they were accompanied by Suzanne Bellis, Ellesmere College Enterprises Ltd. Arriving at the flagship salon of Andrew Collinge Hairdressing in time to have a wash and blow-dry, the group were also treated to glasses of champagne to thank them for their fundraising efforts before presenting the cheque to Joan McLarnon, Events Co-ordinator of Self Unlimited.

Sue Dewhirst commented, Andrew Collinge has continued to support his former School in a variety of ways and we were delighted to learn yesterday that, between his busy international schedule, he intends to remain active with the School and support future pupil and parent initiatives.

This years Ellesmere College Ladies Lunch will take place on Thursday 1st July and have another fashion and beauty theme with Emma Welling from Style our Souls having been invited to be the after-lunch speaker.
