Netball Star Visits College for Special Training Session

As Sky Sports is celebrating its biggest-ever season of Netball by launching Netball Month this January. One of the most talented players in this year's Super League, Natalie Panagarry, visited Ellesmere College to give pupils a training session under her expert eye.

A strong leader both on and off the court, the Loughborough Lighting squad player provided netball skills and attacking play training sessions for the college teams. Natalie is the former Yorkshire Jets captain/senior squad member and has coached a variety of levels - BUCS Leeds Metropolitan Head Coach, U14 Leeds Club Coach and Harrogate Ladies College U14 - U18 teams.

Natalie said, "It's lovely to be asked to host a few sessions at Ellesmere College. I have heard a lot of good things about the school and everyone seems to have enjoyed my coaching".

"All the netball teams were really keen to learn a few new skills and I think they will all have a good season this year"

Natalie, who's opening match against Yorkshire Jets will be the first to be featured on Sky Sports this month, has also joined the Lightning family as the new U13 Head Coach as well as the new Loughborough Lightning Community Officer. Netball Coach Tina Cox said, "We have regular guest coaches from international teams that visit the college and it's great to have Natalie taking a few sessions. She is at the top of her sport in both playing and coaching and our teams really enjoyed the sessions."
