This coming half term, Ellesmere College is running a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification. From Monday 24th October a five day intensive course will take place using the Schools indoor pool with an assessment on Saturday 29th October. Lifeguarding is an excellent opportunity in the leisure industry, providing a useful public service, working with a team, and gaining invaluable life skills. Becoming a lifeguard will increase employment opportunities for many young people, working as a lifeguard in a swimming pool is used by many to help fund their student years and time in education or at university. However, working as a Pool Lifeguard acts for some by not only providing an excellent part time working opportunity but a great stepping stone into the leisure industry.
The cost of the course is 200 which includes manual, assessment, relevant papers and refreshments. For more information on the course or to book a place contact Chris Rogers on 01691 626540 or chris.rogers@ellesmere.com.
