The School is celebrating recent success in music exams across the School with the Director of Music, Roger Paul, particularly proud of the number of Senior School students studying and achieving excellent results at the highest Associated Board of Music examination levels.
Upper Sixth Form student Vicky Tadros, who is studying the International Baccalaureate Diploma, passed her Grade 8 Singing and has her sights firmly fixed on studying for a degree in Music and achieving a place at one of the Countrys music colleges.
Two Lower Sixth Form Music Scholars did particularly well. George Fradley, passed Grade 8 Piano with Distinction and also Grade 7 Saxaphone with Merit. John Paul also passed Grade 8 Piano with Distinction, having already gained Grade 8 cello last year. Year 11 pupil, Alice Tow, who also plays the clarinet and sings, achieved Grade 7 Piano with Merit.
Roger Paul explained, Ellesmere College offers a range of Music Scholarships and encourages families with musical children to visit the School on Saturday 8th October, 2011 between 1pm and 4pm, when the School is holding an Open Day and the Schools musicians will be playing.
