After many weeks of tireless rehearsing last nights Middle School Play, was much appreciated by the audience of fellow pupils, staff and parents.
The play, All in the Timing, by David Ives performed as a series of acts which were reflections on life, love and time. A cast of 40 had been directed by English and Drama Margaret Hutchings, with the support of A-level Drama Sixth Form students, Ben Lingard-Lane and Luke Ottoway. Each act depicted scenarios from different times and places around the world and whilst the background scenery of a large clock remained on stage for the duration of the play, other interesting props were incorporated into each act and a full team of Middle School back-stage team ensured the scene changes were swift and seemless. The technical crew performed well together with the lighting changes and various sound effects during the performances.
Margaret Hutchings, commented, this was a complicated play for the pupils to master since success required the performance of quick repartee so attention to cues of paramount importance. I was delighted by last nights performance which was well executed and a pleasure to watch.
