During the summer, pupils throughout the school have been involved in English Speaking Board examinations. As explained by Sharon Owen, Head of Lower School, Oral skills are invaluable to later life, in university and beyond into adulthood. After the Year 6 examinations, the examiner reported that the presentations, based upon a wide range of topics were confident and really interesting. Amongst the group of 26 pupils who took the examinations, 17 Distinctions and 6 Merit Plus awards were achieved.
Robin Townsend, Year 6 Form Tutor commented, I compliment all the pupils on the high standard of their work which illustrates their considerable preparation and the thought that went into their individual performances.
