Keen golfer, Teddy Hall, managed to secure a second place finish at the Shropshire and Herefordshire Boys Golf Championships with rounds of 73 and 75. The competition was the first of the year, held at Herefordshire Golf Club and attracted 25 of the best young players with handicaps of 12 and under.
Teddy, who is a member of Wrekin Golf Club, expressed his excitement in a post-game interview and said he was pleased to finish second in the competition, as the course was becoming a really difficult one due to the weather. This fantastic result now means his handicap has reduced from 11 to 6. In addition to his success on the county stage, Teddy also managed to secure a victory in the recent Charles Lewis Team Trophy held at Wrekin Golf Club with his team mate Cameron Dhia.
Charles Sievewright, Chairman of Junior Golf, said "We had a very good field of golfers at the counties competition with some impressive handicaps. Teddy played exceptionally well over the two rounds on what was a difficult course and he really did deserve his second place finish".
