Following recent County trials, 2 Sixth Form students have been selected to represent Shropshire Hockey in the Under 17 team.
For many years, A level students Vicky Von Hoven and Annabel Rogan have represented the School in Hockey teams as they have progressed through the School and recently they both participated in Hockey trials to be selected for the Shropshire Under 17 team. Helen Davenport Head of PE commented, This is a great achievement for Vicky and Annie who have both played Hockey very enthusiastically all through their school career at Ellesmere. We wish them all the best and every success as they play for Shropshire Hockey.
In addition to the personal success of two Sixth Form students in Hockey, the 1st Netball team recently won the North Shropshire Under 19 Netball Tournament. During the Tournament, across 4 games against other local schools, the team scored 49 goals, conceding just 6 goals.
To learn more about the opportunity for all pupils to develop their sports talent, families of children aged between 7 and 12 years are invited to visit Lower School Open Morning on Saturday 26th March, between 10am and 12noon.
