Freya Anderson lands World Junior gold over 100m Free

Freya Anderson stormed to 100m Freestyle gold on day three of the 2017 World Junior Championships in Indianapolis, USA.

The Titans swimmer set a PB and British 16 Yrs age group record 53.88 to take the touch by 0.28 seconds in Indiana. Japan's Rikako Ikee took silver on 54.16 while Canada's Kayla Sanchez won bronze on 54.44. The result brings British Swimming their second gold in as many nights after Emily Large's victory in the 200m Butterfly. Anderson won the European Junior 100m Free title in Hungary last year before adding the senior British crown in April. She made her senior World Championship debut in Budapest earlier this year, finishing 12th in 53.91.
