Next week Ellesmere College will kick off its 2 weeks of fun-filled Easter Holiday Courses. The courses include Adventure+, Cricket, Multi-Activities, Tennis and Rugby.
The first week starts off with a 4 day Multi-Activities programme suitable for children aged 8 to 14 years. The children will participate in a number of different activities which include a wide range of sports in the Sports Hall and Playing Fields, with drama session and fun games taking place in the Schools Arts Centre, Arts and Crafts sessions will have an Easter theme and all children will get the opportunity to swim each day in the Schools indoor pool.
Also, between 6th and 9th April there will another 4 day Tennis Camp. This popular course has just a few places still available so immediate booking is recommended. Under the direction of the Ellesmere College Tennis Academy Director, Nikki Hoy, this tennis camp gives players the opportunity to improve their skills in a short period of time.
During the second week of activities, commencing 12th April, Ellesmere College will be offering its second Adventure+ course. Following on from the success of last summers first Adventure+ course participants will have the opportunity to canoe along the local canals, take part in a mountain biking session around the College grounds, visit the Adventure Ropes course near Shrewsbury and taking part in a variety of activities including climbing wall, parachute simulator and tunneling.
Another course on offer during the forthcoming holidays is a 2 day rugby course run by former pupil Sam Lewis. The aim of this course is to improve players technical understanding of key skills and give them a better perspective of what it is to be a modern day rugby player through enjoying fun games & rugby related activities.
The final course available is the pre-season Cricket Camp which will give boys and girls between 8 and 15 years the opportunity to improve their skills on this 2-day camp. The players will participate in batting, bowling and fielding clinics to develop their skills for the upcoming season at club, county or school level.
Participants can be dropped off from 8am and be collected by 6pm.
