Following their last game against Sandbach School, from the 550 schools participating in the National U15 Rugby Cup, the Ellesmere College U15 rugby team have now reached the last 32.
Having won their fourth match in this year’s Daily Mail Schools’ Rugby Competition, the Ellesmere College Year 10 pupils, who play in the U15 Rugby team, are faring particularly well. Mike Sampson, U15 Coach, commented, ‘the boys have risen to the occasion in each round so far. When beating Sandbach they reversed the result from that of a friendly earlier in the season and from their matches with the same opposition at U13 and U14. Clearly the opposition will improve in quality with each round and the team will be working to raise their game before the next round in two weeks time.’
