Ellesmere College U15 and U14 Sevens Teams Win Tournaments

Last week the Ellesmere U15 and U14 Rugby Sevens teams excelled themselves in the North Shropshire Tournaments with both teams winning their competition.

Held at Whitchurch Rugby Club, the Ellesmere teams played against The Marches School, Lakelands School, The Grove School and Sir John Talbot's School. Mike Sampson, the U15 Coach commented, 'Despite the blustery conditions, the boys threw the ball about and scored some good tries. Clearly our greater experience of Sevens rugby was to our advantage. Thanks are due to Sir John Talbot's for organising the event.'

Colin Cawcutt, the U14 Coach added, 'We scored some great tries, 16 in total, and conceded none in games. This was a good achievement and shows how committed the boys were.'
