Ellesmere College Pupils Gain National Tennis Ranking

Amongst a group of young Tennis Scholars at Ellesmere are 12 year old twins, Olivia and Harriet Jones, who have both recently gained national rankings.

Oliver and Harriet are currently developing their tennis under the expert coaching of Nikki Hoy, Ellesmere College Tennis Academy. Ranking 1st and 3rd in the County U12s, Olivia is now 29th and Harriet 57th nationally.

Last August, together, the girls won the U12 Shropshire County Closed competition. Olivia then went on to win the U12 Shropshire Open, beating the Warwickshire No.1 seed.

Nikky Hoy commented: ‘both girls have taken their tennis very seriously since they started to play 6 years ago. It continues to be a delight to help develop their talent through the Ellesmere College Tennis Academy’.
