The end of this academic year's festivities at Ellesmere College will include a Ladies' Lunch hosted by the Parents' Society Chairperson and fellow Committee Members.

The Ellesmere College Parents' Society organises social functions at the School for parents and pupils. At the annual AGM earlier this year Sue Dewhirst took on the reigns as Chairperson and next Thursday will be alongside the Headmaster, Brendan Wignall, welcoming Andrew Collinge, international hairdresser and Old Ellesmerian back to Ellesmere.

The Ladies Luncheon will be attended by mothers and their friends as well as the High Sheriff of Shropshire, Anna Turner. The event is being held in the marquee on the Terraces that will be used again on Saturday for the Sixth Form Ball.

Before the Luncheon Andrew Collinge is addressing Sixth Form Students in the School's Arts Centre and will be sharing memories of his time at Ellesmere College as well as explaining about the creation of his successful hairdressing business.

Various goods from local crafts people will be displayed and on sale at the Luncheon. The stallholders are all donating raffle prizes. The charity 'Self Unlimited' which has Andrew Collinge as a patron will be benefiting from the proceeds of the raffle.

Sue Dewhirst commented, 'We are absolutely delighted that Andrew has agreed to join us for the event. We are all looking forward to hearing Andrew's after-lunch speech, it should be a fun and memorable day for all the 195 guests and we are hoping the sun will shine.'
