Ellesmere College will again this year be hosting Rugbyclass rugby courses during August. Rugbyclass, is a grass roots rugby programme offering day and residential coaching courses for children between the ages of 9 and 17 years old across the country during holiday periods. Rugbyclass caters for boys at all levels of ability. Its qualified coaches, ex-professionals and current internationals pass on their collective knowledge at a series residential rugby courses. Rugbyclass already boasts an impressive alumni, with the likes of James Simpson Daniel, Kyran Bracken, Alex and Pat Sanderson and Harry Ellis having passed through as children over the years, all of whom have gone on to win full England caps.
Ellesmere College is delighted that Rugbyclass have chosen to return to the School for the fourth year. Two courses are being offered this year, with each course being led by qualified coaches supported by welfare officers and a physiotherapist on site, so parents can send their child to either of the courses in the knowledge that they will be well looked after, kept active and learn rugby skills.
Rugbyclass will be at Ellesmere College between Monday 20th August and Friday 24th August. As well as the standard Masterclass, this year there is also a more intense Academy course. The Masterclass concentrates on an individual's skills, team play and understanding of the game and is recommended for boys wanting to improve their all round skills. The Academy course, besides individual and team skills, also covers nutrition, fitness and rehabilitation. Participants will be coached by those who know exactly that is required to make an impact on the rugby stage. Each child attending a Rugbyclass event is presented with a unique rugby ball supplied by sponsors Eden Park, and a Rugbyclass branded Kooga Rugby shirt.
