At Ellesmere College, GCSE, AS and A Level artwork is currently on display. Following a successful Private View of the 2007 Art Exhibition for family and friends last Friday, the work will remain on display throughout this term.
Siobhan Phillips, Head of Art commented, ‘In the past three years, the number of pupils taking Art as an examination subject has increased significantly. The standard continues to improve and we are delighted with the interest that Art is receiving amongst other pupils and parents.’
In light of the increase in pupil numbers at Ellesmere, the Art Department has a new teacher, Mai Thomas, who studied at two prestigious London Colleges, Central School of Art and Design and the Royal College of Art.
Artwork at all levels of the School will be on display at the forthcoming Lower School Open Morning on Saturday 13th October, between 10am and 1pm..
