Ellesmere College 1st XV Rugby Team’s continued success in the Daily Mail U18 Competition

Ellesmere College 1st XV continue to enjoy a successful season and recently have proved their strength with wins over Wrekin College 64-0, Adam's Grammar 33-0, Nottingham High 12-5 and then Newcastle 25-10 in the Daily Mail National Cup to move into Round 5 against Worcester Sixth Form College next week.

The team's recent away game was played in damp and muddy conditions and, as explained by Paul Goodwin, Director of the Ellesmere College Rugby Academy, 'Our last three games have been very tactical and we are starting to understand the need for patience and error-free rugby. We are not quite there yet but the coaching panel is working on the patience element and the team is looking forward to the next round.'
