Rod Jones is delighted to have Adam visiting the School for the Academy Day and commented, Like the other Academies in the School, cricket players are coached to an elite level whilst receiving a first class education and we are delighted that Adam is joining us and participating in a training session.

Ellesmere has in place a sporting programme that aims to produce international standard individuals in Cricket, Rugby, Tennis and Swimming.  This is an opportunity to meet the Coaches involved, understand the philosophy and look at the opportunities to be gained from the scholarship programme at Ellesmere College.

Following a welcome presentation by Brendan Wignall, Headmaster, budding young cricketers and their parents will be able to meet both Rod Jones and Adam Shantry as well as Ian Williams, Director of Sports who will field questions from players and parents regarding the elite player development programmes.

The Academy Day will also give similar opportunities for talented rugby and tennis players to learn about the well-established and highly successful Rugby and Tennis Academies. The Ellesmere College Titans senior swimming coach, Jon Pardoe, will also be presenting the opportunities for talented swimmers to join the elite development swimming Academy that we launched at the School in June 2008. During the Academy Day, the School will also be presenting the coaches behind the emerging Ellesmere College Shooting Academy.
