Following the recent appointment of Handelsbanken as the Schools bankers, it was with much delight that the Sports Department were the recipient of a set of rugby post protectors.
Under the auspices of the Schools Rugby Academy, weather permitting, everyday between September and December, at all ages, there is a busy and active schedule of rugby instruction and squad practices. It was therefore much appreciated for the Schools Handelsbanken representative to suggest donating some new protectors to the goal posts on the first XV pitch.
Gareth Evans from Handelsbanken when recently visiting the School had the opportunity to meet Tom King, captain of the 1st XV and learn first-hand how the Schools Rugby Academy programme, which aims to produce international standard players, has helped many to achieve representative honours in the County, Region and beyond.
Paul Goodwin, Senior Rugby Coach commented, the support of the bank is much appreciated.
