Lower School pupils filled shoe boxes with gifts of toys, stationery, colouring books, toiletries and sweets to support this year's Operation Christmas Child. The school, that caters for children between the ages of 7 to 13, have been supporting the Children's Christmas project for many years.
Operation Christmas child is the world's largest children's Christmas project run by the Christmas relief and development organisation, Samaritans Purse. They have been sending gift-filled shoe boxes around the world since 1990 to over 94 million underprivileged children. This year pupils from year 5 worked on the project as part of their religious studies lessons, where they had to research the project and coordinate the delivery of the boxes to the Samaritans Purse International Relief in Wrexham.
