Academy Day - Saturday 28th January

The School is holding its fourth annual Academy Day on Saturday 28th January 2012, between 10.30am and 2.30pm.

The day provides a unique opportunity to experience the excellent sports facilities at the School and learn more about each Academy.  In addition to the successful Cricket, Rugby, Swimming and Tennis Academies, in September 2010 the Schools Shooting Academy opened its doors and is enjoying Country level representation amongst pupils already.

The School has in place a sporting programme that aims to produce international standard individuals in Cricket, Rugby, Shooting, Swimming and Tennis. The Academy Day is an opportunity to meet the coaches involved, understand the philosophy and look at the opportunities to be gained from the scholarship programme.

Numerous pupils and staff representatives from the Schools Cricket, Rugby, Shooting and Tennis Academies will be present as well as members of the Titans, Ellesmere Colleges elite swimming development programme. There will also be time for one-on-one discussions with the Headmaster and Academy Directors.    

Ian Williams, Director of Sport explained, In previous years we have been delighted with the response we have received for Academy Days and have explored ways the School can help secure places, through scholarships and bursaries, for our sports-talented young visitors.
