Pupils from Years 7 and 8 took to the stage to perform six of the Brothers Grimm tales. These included some well known ones like 'Little Red Cap' and 'Hansel and Gretel' plus the lesser known 'The Mouse, the Bird and the Sausage' and 'Clever Hans'. These stories have captivated the imagination of the young over hundreds of years.
The plays were directed by Joanne Davies, Maths Teacher and Lower School Tutor and Rae Nicolson, Support for Learning Teacher. The cast comprised over 30 pupils. Over the two performance nights, the play drew a very appreciative audience. Joanne Davies commented, 'I am really happy and proud of the work the students have put into their performances and we have all had great fun creating the plays.'
The performance was In conjunction with the opening of the Lower School Art Exhibition in the foyer of Ellesmere College Arts Centre.
