Pupils and Staff to Return to New Catering Facilities.

Ellesmere College is currently undergoing a £100,000 refurbishment of their kitchen.

Pupils and staff at Ellesmere College will enjoy a belated Christmas present on their return to school with a refit of the kitchens and Dining Hall. With the focus on learning and sport, healthy eating has always been a high priority at Ellesmere College. The lunch time menu offers a salad bar with a choice of eight different salads, a pasta bar with two different sauces, and a choice from three hot meals. In order to continue with the exceptional menu on offer, improvements in the preparation facilities, the chilled salad storage and cooking equipment will be undertaken. The serving area is also being redesigned to improve on queuing times and increase the size of the Dining Hall.

Ken Brockless, the newly appointed Director of Operations at Ellesmere College commented, 'with the significant increase of pupil numbers this academic year, whilst retaining its current pupil-focused dining experience, it was recognised that investment was required to improve on efficiency to reduce queuing times and ensure consistency of quality. During this holiday period we are busily ensuring that the catering facilities will deliver a new level of service from next term for pupils and staff alike with shorter queuing times and quality consistency.'
