Old Ellesmerians Festival

Ellesmere College is holding a day of activities on Saturday 9th September aimed specifically to encourage former pupils and their families to return to their old School for a day of activities including sport matches, music and a Chapel Service.

This Saturday it is estimated that over 400 former Ellesmere College pupils will return to school with their families to re-live their school days and catch-up with old friends. It will also be possible to buy photographs and School merchandise during the day.

Richard Thurgood, OE Festival Committee Chairman commented: "All former Ellesmere College pupils and their families are welcome to come along to the Festival which has gathered much support from all decades of former pupils. There will be rugby, netball, hockey and tennis matches during the afternoon as well as a Chapel Service. There will also be numerous activities for children including a bouncy castle, face painting, a bungy rope and bucking bronco which will allow parents to watch the sports matches or indeed play in them or alternatively participate in the choral and instrumental workshops which will also be occurring in the Art Centre.
