Ellesmere College GCSE Results 2005

Once again pupils from a North Shropshire School are celebrating academic success.  88.4% of Year 11 pupils from Ellesmere College secured the higher grades A-C.  This compares to the national pass rates of 60%.  27.1% of Ellesmere grades were A* or A.The majority of pupils achieved and exceeded their garget grades.  There were some notable performances and these cannot pass without comment.

Sarah Haynes, Welshampton 7A* and 2A, Robert Simms, St Martins 6A*and 3A, Christopher Bevan from Shrewsbury 4A*, 4A and 1B, William Norris, Oswestry 3A*, 3A and 2B, Peter Heath, Grinshall 2A*, 6A and 1B, Sarah Monro, Wrexham 1A*, 6A and 5B, Hadleigh Roberts, Whitchurch 1A*, 7A, and 1B.

The staff and I congratulate them on their success. The pupils are now looking forward to entering the Sixth Form at Ellesmere College.  Sixth Form life at Ellesmere College combines a full range of A level subjects to choose from with excellent opportunities toparticipate in sports, dramatic and musical performances, outdoor pursuits,Duke of Edinburgh Scheme and much more.
