Netball Triumph for Ellesmere College

The North Shropshire U19 Netball Tournament was held at Oswestry Sports Centre recently.  Taking part were a number of schools including Ellesmere College, who fielded a very strong team comprising of Jennifer Sampson (Captain), Melissa Halstead, Laura Mansfield, Tiffany Salmon, Helen Baxter, Tara Unwin, Sarah Griffiths, Elizabeth Swinnerton and Byrony Sym.

The girls played excellently and won all of their games and were placed 1st in the Tournament

Sharon Owen, PE Teacher said "The standard of play was very high indeed and all games were closely contested.  Huge respect is given to the Grove School who came 2nd and pushed very hard to the final whistle.  Our thanks go to Mrs Keeley who organized the event, Oswestry Sports Centre for hosting it and all the for the great atmosphere and spirit in which the games were played'
