Middle School play:

"Gizmo' by Alan Ayckbourn - directed by Keith Shuttleworh

Ben suffers from a little known condition of post-traumatic paralysis. He is being treated by an advanced new device called GIZMO, which helps him move about. One day he persuades his nurse Ted to take him for a walk in the park, an activity which sets off a train of dangerous events which threaten to get out of hand!!

Tabor Academy Production - Massachusetts, USA

"You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" by Charles Schulz.

A return visit by the Tabor Academy, this time bringing to us "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" the musical, which was first performed in New York on March 7th, 1967 and ran until 1971. Ellesmere College pupils will be visiting the Tabor Academy in April with their recently performed "Dancing at Lughnasa' by Brian Friel.

Choral Society Concert featuring the Chapel Choir and Ellesmere Sinfonia

Performing Schubert's "Mass in G' and Britten's "St Nicholas'. Solos performed by Peter Bates, Gill Winstanley and Damian O'Keefe.

Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17 March

Year 7 and 8 School play:

"Maid Marion and her Merry Men' by Tony Robinson, directed by Zoe Fisher and Louise Paton.

Maid Marion is a comedy based on the TV programme written by Blackadder and Time Team's, Tony Robinson. Maid Marion (a feisty, rather bossy young lady!) and Robin (whose job is personal manufacturer of King John's oversized underpants) join together to rescue Edwina (Maid Marion's pet tadpole, who was last seen disappearing up the nose of one of the band of merry men!) Will Edwina survive this awful experience? Will she be rescued by brave Marion in this slapstick romp? The play will last for one hour.

Ellesmere Senior School presents:

Dancing at Lughnasa by Brian Friel

A workshop performance of the play, prior to the group taking it to America. An audience is most welcome!

Five sisters, one uncle, one lover and one son. Two days in the hot summer of 1936 in rural Ireland. A beautiful, haunting, passionate piece from one of the most accomplished playwrights working in English today. Landscapes are revealed, interior and exterior, Christian and Pagan. There's a time to pray and a time to dance ….
