National Youth Wind Orch

Jenny Scarisbrick,a talented musician, has for the second year running won a place in the prestigious National Youth Wind Orchestra.

Jenny, 17 years old from Ellesmere, had to under a gruelling audition process in Birmingham, which included playing 2 contrasting pieces of music, one accompanied the other unaccompanied, music site reading which involves having to play a completely unfamiliar piece of music and an interview. More amazingly Jenny normally plays the piano, but all this was achieved with the clarinet - her second instrument.

The National Youth Wind Orchestra is based in London, but perform a series of weeklong workshops throughout the year, followed by a concert at major venues. But Jenny is confident when it comes to these as she is experienced on the concert platform, performing regularly in College orchestra's and provides piano accompaniment to the Choral groups, as well as outside orchestra's such as the Oswestry Sinfonia.
