New Head Boy and Head Girl

An Exciting year lies ahead for new Head Boy - James Bubb and new Head Girl - Nicola Jones.

James, 17 years old from Newport, Shropshire is studying Physics, PE and Geography. He is a bit of a car enthusiast and one of his hobbies is 4 x 4 off roading. In fact he enjoys this exciting activity so much that he is hoping to do a degree in 4 x 4 Off Road Design, when he has completed his studies at Ellesmere. James is quite the athlete and also enjoys playing rugby, hockey and watersports.

Nicola, is also 17 years old and from Whittington. She is studying PE, Politics and History. Nicola is also sporty enjoying playing Hockey, Netball and Tennis, although her main passion is the college's Combined Cadet Force. When she leaves college Nicola will go to University and then on to a career in either the RAF or Army.

Nicola has to say, “I enjoy Ellesmere. I chose to stay for the Sixth Form after enjoying my 3 years in the College. The range of opportunities suited my interests from Hockey to Army Cadets. I have the help and support to pursue my studies and my interests”

Both James and Nicola taken an active interest in college life, and both recently took past in the Chernobyl Continuity run from Ellesmere College to the top of Mount Snowdon, helping to raise nearly £1000 for the Charity.
