Chemistry Competition Victory

Four pupils from Year 8 triumphed in the Salters' Chemistry Competition held at Liverpool John Moore's University on Tuesday 14th May. Hannah Todd, Robert Simms, Sarah Haynes and Matthew Hunt gained first place in this National Competition. Accompanied by Dr Tom Gareh, the Head of Chemistry, the team spent over two hours analysing and testing for chemicals to emerge victorious from a field of twenty five or so schools. The effervescent Dr Gareh was delighted with the result paying tribute to the powers of concentration of the team as well as their knowledge of chemistry.
