b'Charlie Adlard Visits the New Adlard StudioCharlie Adlard, the internationally renowned artist for The Walking Dead and former Comic Laureate, came to visit the newly completed Adlard Studio and to dedicate the official sign for the studio. Charlie has generously funded an A-Level or International Baccalaureate Art scholarship at Ellesmere for the duration of the two year course. Im incredibly proud to be sponsoring the Adlard Art Scholarship at a school where art is more than just an extra-curricular activityit really matters here, he said. Ive been involved in Art as Education more in the lastfew years and I hope, in some small way, my contribution will help someone achieve their dreams, just like I did.The Adlard Art Scholar will be based at the Adlard Studio, a new studio funded by Mr Adlard which will give a higher platform to showcase some of the excellent art work created by students there.FantasiaA Technicolour Concert!Fantasia, a charity concert held at Ellesmere College in aid of Pancreatic Cancer UK and the Peter Messenger Memorial Fund, was a fantastic evening of musical entertainment which featured songs both old and new which were performed by our Lower School Choir (accompanied by special guests Prestfelde School Choir), Chamber Choir, Chapel Choir, Choral Society, and featured fantastic individual performances from current and former Ellesmere College students.The Chapel Choir sang a touching tribute to Graham Mullock, a victim of pancreatic cancer, with a performance of his favourite song;Youll Never Walk Alone conducted by his father, Mr David Mullock.Ellesmere College Newsletter Michaelmas Term 201911'
